Dr. Rohul Amin, MD, is an expert in Adult ADHD assessment and management, having shared his knowledge with audiences both nationally and internationally. In his practice, the guiding principle is to "first do no harm," ensuring that ADHD assessments are conducted systematically and deliberately. Diagnosing Adult ADHD presents unique challenges due to overlapping symptoms with other conditions and the variability of symptom presentation across different contexts. To address these complexities, Dr. Amin employs a comprehensive approach utilizing objective measures, collateral input, and, when necessary, computer-based neuropsychiatric testing. Whether your symptoms are due to ADHD or another condition, Dr. Amin is committed to helping you achieve your fullest potential.

 

If you are new patient to the practice to continue ADHD care, we will ask you for records that show prior diagnostic assessment. If the prior diagnostic assessment was substandard, or if you are not able to get the records, we will conduct a fresh evaluation of ADHD diagnosis. It is to ensure that you are receiving care based on standard of care and professional guidelines. 

 

Patients with no prior diagnosis of ADHD will undergo fresh evaluation by Dr. Amin. It will take at least two visits and possibly three for the diagnostic process to complete and treatment to begin as indicated. 

 

STEPS TO DIAGNOSING ADHD

We will conduct the diagnostic journey by following the three steps below. 

Step 1- Initial assessment 

You will have a thorough initial evaluation and if clinically indicated, Dr. Amin will assign you tasks to obtain additional information from you regarding ADHD symptoms as outlined in Step 2. For established patients, their assessment will start with Step 2.

4. If indicated, Computer-Based Qbtech ADHD Neuropsychiatric testing
